What people say when baking finally feels easy.
"Easy to follow, and the first sweet things I've made that my husband didn't know were 'healthy'. He just asked for more."
"The recipes felt simple and realistic — everyday ingredients, no fuss. Far more approachable than anything I've tried before."
"I loved how clear everything was. Nothing cluttered or confusing, which made me trust it straight away."

Meet Hannah
I'm Hannah. I'm not a chef and I've never worked in a kitchen — I just got tired of paying for things I could make myself.
It started with a fruit snack packet and a pair of reading glasses. I'd been buying them for years without ever turning the box over. When I finally read the whole list — glucose syrup, modified starch, palm oil, colours with numbers after them — the two things I'd assumed the packet was made of were right down at the bottom. Fruit. A bit of sugar. I was paying a company to do something to fruit that I could do in my own kitchen.
So I started making them. Badly, at first — my first fruit roll-ups could have resurfaced a road. But every so often one worked, and every time one worked that was one thing off the shopping list permanently. The cereal bars. Then the bagels. Then the little chocolate bars. One at a time, and each one took about two goes to get right.
These recipes are what I actually make. Not what I made once for a photograph. I'm not a nutritionist, and I'm not going to tell you a brownie is a health food — some of these are treats and they have sugar in them. The difference is that you made it, so you know exactly what went in.
